Seed Muesli

This healthy seed muesli recipe is perfect if you are gluten-free and still want to enjoy muesli in the morning. Crunchy and full of nutrients, you can make this seed muesli the night before to soak it in the fridge for the following morning when you are on the run! You can also pre-make it and store in fridge for 1 to 2 weeks, just add the wet ingredients when you are ready to dig in 🙂

This is also a fantastic bowel mover!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup flaxseed (linseed) meal
  • ¾ cup almond meal
  • ½ cup sunflower seeds
  • ¼ cup shredded/flaked coconut
  • ½ cup chopped pecans

Method

Mix ingredients, serve cold or warmed with almond milk.

Store excess in the fridge.

Optional Add

  • ¼ cups chopped walnuts
  • ½ cup dried apple/goji berries (sulphur free)
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2tsp vanilla essence

*Best if nuts are soaked overnight – soaking the nuts activates them.

We hope you enjoy our healthy seed muesli recipe!

Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia – Reversing Cognitive Decline

While we may get a bit slower as we age both mentally and physically I don’t think this has to be the case. Alzheimer’s is a form of dementia. It is the most common form accounting for up to 70% of all dementia (Dementia Australia, 2018a). Our enjoyment of life comes in great part from our emotional and mental interaction with people and the world around us and this is why monitoring and combating cognitive decline is so very important.
