Health Food to Superfood

Here is a little brief on why some foods are beyond a health food, making them superfoods!

Acai

Has a high ORAC score, hence has a high antioxidant capacity and therefore slows down the oxidative processes, commonly associated with age-related degeneration and disease. They are an exceptional source of antioxidants, polyphenols, fibre, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and plant sterols. Another good thing about this product is that nowadays you can find them in almost any vending machine.

Bee Pollen

Has been sourced from the Southwest region of Western Australia. Bee pollen is a highly absorbable protein that is rich in vitamins, amino acids, proteins, lipids carbohydrates, minerals, enzymes and other micronutrients.

Blue Green Algae

More bio-available chlorophyll than any other food, and provides over 64 easily absorbed vitamins, minerals, micronutrients and enzymes. By adding this ancient superfood, you will receive the most balanced, nutrient rich food on Earth, providing the highest protein and trace mineral concentration of any natural food.

Brazil Nuts

Has incredibly high protein content alongside a very low fat content. They contain no enzyme inhibitors so they’re easily digested, plus they’re a great source of Omega 3 and 6 as well as Vitamin E, thiamine, copper, manganese, magnesium, calcium, phosphorous, zinc and are one of the richest dietary sources of selenium.

Buckwheat

Buckinis are made with Buckwheat and despite its name, is not actually wheat…it’s a fruit! Buckwheat alkalise our bodies, unlike other breakfast cereal bases such as oats, rice and wheat, which are acid forming in the body. Buckwheat is a rich source of protein, rutin and manganese.

Cacao Powder Raw

The main component in cacao are flavonoids which are powerful antioxidants that fight ageing and prevent disease. In Raw Cacao Powder, much of the oil is removed, while nearly all of the active nutrients remain.

Camu Camu Powder
