Acupuncturist (Japanese Cosmetic Acupuncture)
I studied acupuncture and moxibustion at the Meiji School of Oriental Medicine in Japan and have been licensed in both practices since 2009. After graduating from Meiji, I worked in two clinics in Japan, where I developed a special interest in cosmetic acupuncture, sciatica pain management, migraine and headache relief, and general women’s health.
I am also a registered acupuncturist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and have worked as a massage therapist in Adelaide. By using thin Japanese acupuncture needles, I am able to minimise needle pain and reduce the fear of acupuncture treatments.
With a fervent passion for cosmetic acupuncture and women’s health, my aspiration is to become a trusted acupuncturist serving individuals in need of treatment in Adelaide. I aim to introduce Japanese acupuncture techniques to the Adelaide community and am dedicated to continually enhancing my skills and knowledge through ongoing studies, ensuring the safe practice of acupuncture and moxibustion for the public.
Outside of the acupuncture world, I am a mother of two beautiful children. I love food and playing badminton.
Japanese Acupuncture
Japanese acupuncture is a refined and distinct style of acupuncture that emphasises gentle techniques and precision. It has evolved with unique methods.Â
Here are some key aspects of Japanese acupuncture:
-
Gentle Approach:Â Treatments are often more holistic, addressing both physical and emotional aspects of health.
-
Subtle and Refined Techniques:Â Japanese acupuncture emphasises a subtle and refined approach, prioritising patient comfort and precision in treatment to achieve effective and balanced health outcomes.
Cosmetic Acupuncture
Cosmetic acupuncture, also known as facial acupuncture or facial rejuvenation acupuncture, is a natural approach to improving skin appearance and reducing signs of aging. It involves the insertion of thin Japanese needles into specific points on the face and body to promote overall health and well-being, which in turn reflects on the skin.
Key Aspects of Cosmetic Acupuncture:
Treatment Process:
-
Needle Insertion: Acupuncture needles are gently inserted into specific points on the face, neck, and body. These points are chosen based on the individual’s skin concerns and overall health.
-
Increased Blood Circulation: The needles stimulate blood flow to the face, increasing oxygen and nutrient delivery to skin cells, which can improve skin tone and texture.
-
Promote Collagen and Elastin Production:Â The insertion of acupuncture needles creates micro-traumas that trigger the body’s repair response, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. This process helps keep the skin firm and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
-
Detoxification: Cosmetic acupuncture promotes lymphatic drainage, helping to remove toxins and reduce puffiness.
Benefits:

Reduces puffinessÂ

Enhances overall appearance
