You cannot be forced into a hypnotic state. It is a therapy where the therapist and client work as a team, to develop sessions that assist the client into moving towards the results they want to achieve. Using clinical hypnosis clients often see rapid changes within 1 to 3 sessions.
Clinical hypnotherapy can be used as a stand-alone therapy or incorporated into other forms of therapy, such as counselling.
Hypnosis is safe for most people
but like all therapies it may not be effective for everyone.
Clinical Hypnotherapy influences the subconscious mind, bypassing the conscious mind. It is used to assist where other therapy or counselling may not be enough or when the subconscious mind is negatively affecting you.
During hypnosis you move into a very calm and relaxed state, this allows the central nervous system to also relax. In this state the mind is open, clear and peaceful, ready to receive new information that otherwise is inhibited by the conscious mind. This allows you to create new behaviours as long as it is within your current beliefs and values.
As all hypnosis is self-hypnosis, you are always in control. Many clients often remark about how totally relaxed they feel during and after a session.
All sessions are recorded so clients can relisten and absorb more of the messages that are embedded into the hypnotic script or story.
